Why Yes, I Am Going to Have Fun Playing Tonight

Just a quick post to show you what finally arrived in the post today!  After something like a month my American Apparel polishes finally arrived! Same day as the 25 piece stamping kit! And the same day I hit up Shoppers and Winners for sales!  Yay!  </exclamationMarks>

    I'll be curious to see how the Bundle Monster plates work. I've been super tempted to buy a set on Amazon, but some of the reviews aren't super great. :( I'm crossing my fingers that they're awesome! Can't wait to see you use them!

      I'm actually really happy with how the Bundle Monster plates work, especially given how cheap they are. I think the defining factor in success is how dense the polish you use is and how well you scrape and stamp. I can't imagine that the Konad plates are that much better, tbh.

      As for the plates themselves, I much prefer the patterns on the 25 pc set. They have a bunch of full nail plates and I got so many ideas unpacking them last night. They also seem bigger than the 21pc.

      Either way, it's fun to do, something different, worth trying out if you've got an extra $25 lying around :)

    @Tia, I've got the whole set and I've been using it since before Christmas. They're... okay. In italics. I've got some Konad's for comparison and the Konads are definitely deeper and higher quality, but at six dollars a plate versus like 25 for $17, honestly, I'll take the slight downgrade in quality for quantity. They aren't sharp and have never cut me.
    Overall, if you can't afford platinum Konads, these are pretty darn good.

      Hmm yeah I totally understand that the BM stuff is cheaper. I've been most interested in a plate that has an entire nail design. I have 3 random Konad plates, but I was never really able to have too much success with them. But they're also from YEARS ago, so maybe the quality has improved.

Review: Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles is Accurately Named

It's amazing what you can find when you wander around at night.  My favourite time to go shopping is ridiculously late and I'm extra happy when it pays off.  I've been looking for Nicole by OPI A Million Sparkles for a while now at that couldn't be more up my alley if it tried.  I finally managed to find it in a Shoppers last night and it really does live up to its name. A Million Sparkles is a predominately blue glitter that has an amazing ability to look like a foil after a couple of coats.  Combine that with gold, silver and pink bar glitter and you have a winner.  It's seriously so sparkly I got distracted from what I was saying at lunch today.  Application is decent but you really need four coats to get completely opaque coverage.  That's ok, glitter dries fast.  It's a little rough too but nothing Seche Vite can't fix.  The Verdict:  Yay glitter! All the ILNP Ultrachromes! Like Shiny Beetles!

Guess what guys, it's not glitter today!  Instead, I have the incredibly amazing ILNP Ultrachrome polishes to show you!  I saw a picture of these on the ILNP site and gasped out loud when I saw the colour shift.  I totally didn't sit for an hour at work, refreshing the page when the preorders went up.  That would be silly.  I was so excited when they arrived as they looked as amazing in the bottle as they did on the site.  I swatched each polish over black, took the photos, but no matter what I tried, I couldn't get the finish to a place where I was satisfied.  I'm sure it's something about the way I was applying it, but there would be little bumps or inconsistencies in the finish and it was annoying.  So I didn't post them.  I gave them another shot in a taped mani and YES THIS IS BETTER LOOK:
